Gtalk is Google's alternative to Skype. Use this application to call computer-to-computer for free as long as the software is installed on the caller's and receiver's computers :) But now with Google Voice, you can make phone calls for free in the US and Canada!

Before, Google Voice was only available by invite only, iGetcha.org saw a preview but now, it's for everyone :) The most valuable aspect of the program is that Google Voice provides you a local number that you can utilize for your nonprofit! This is amazing because any nonprofit will have a number that they can use online! For example, if you want a New York number for your nonprofit, you will have a 212 number possibly for anyone to call. With this ability, you can field questions about your social change initiatives by simply having an Internet connection.

Also, you can even forward that number to another number if you are not at your desktop, laptop, netbook, nettop, et cetera ;) The iGetcha Team sees how valuable this is for operations and we're wondering if Google will take this global. Makes you wonder, there obviously was a reason why all that dark fiber laying in the ocean was gobbled up by Google a while back....

Another cool thing is, Google Voice records your voicemail and sends you the text as an email!
