iGetcha.org is a suggested opensource and free software directory for the technological sustainability of nonprofits. It's also a simple, non-techie shortlist to assist organizations with a SOHO.
Moblin just may be the dark horse in open source operating systems, but iGetcha was not impressed unfortunately. Even the Ubuntu Moblin Remix did not impress us much. Something about the system (ie window control) does not seem as usable as Sugar on a Stick for example.
Moblin (short for mobile linux) is not as visible as Google Chrome OS or Ubuntu, but it has buy in from companies such as Dell's v10 and Acer. 2010 should definitely be an interesting year. Maybe all the big names will support the open source movement to simply cut costs or maybe, they are all finally seeing some quality in the software :)
Use this OS on a recycled desktop or laptop with chipsets based on SSSE3 and your non-profit has one interesting machine ;)
