iGetcha.org is a suggested opensource and free software directory for the technological sustainability of nonprofits. It's also a simple, non-techie shortlist to assist organizations with a SOHO.
Ah, the latest rage in microblogging. To tell you the truth, the iGetcha team just started using Twitter and we were hesitant to use it, similar to the person who has taken our twitter name ;)
We're hoping the nonprofit community can answer your questions and comments about Twitter since functionality would not be iGetcha's strong suit. Although we know about hashtags, Chicken is the expert in microblogging really ;) In our opinion, we prefer identi.ca because of creative commons attribution clarification and you can link it to your Twitter account.
What we do know is that Twitter will have most of the e-activists and non-profits you know around the world on it and can be considered the Facebook of microblogging. So as a nonprofit, you definitely should use it to spread the word about your social work. But with random denial of service attacks, you may want to choose another microblog if you life revolves around this form of social media.
