iGetcha.org is a suggested opensource and free software directory for the technological sustainability of nonprofits. It's also a simple, non-techie shortlist to assist organizations with a SOHO.
The iGetcha team did not have much exposure to Wordpress but we did utilize the Drupal module inspired by Ankesh Kothari's Buy Me a Beer Wordpress plugin :)

Download the Wordpress publishing platform and manage your content with loads of themes. An interesting argument against using Wordpress is that you need to speak some geek to setup the site on a server. So you'll need to be familiar with untarring a file onto a server. If you are comfortable with a control panel though, you can use cPanel on your hosted server.
If you don't want to do all that techie stuff, iGetcha suggests using a blog site on Wordpress. It may be easier and just as good.
Recently though, we obtained a 501(c)3 account from Dreamhost (seems like we're plugging them all the time and Google stuff, but remember, we're not paid to promote ;). With Dreamhost, installing Wordpress is a cinch. Installed automatically, all you need to do is search for plugins and themes, click and you're upgraded. Seriously, it's that simple. Plus, Wordpress monitors for updates and will alert you to update to a new version of Wordpress, plugin, or theme. Pretty cool for a novice with a server :)
