iGetcha.org is a suggested opensource and free software directory for the technological sustainability of nonprofits. It's also a simple, non-techie shortlist to assist organizations with a SOHO.
good day, i want to know if igetcha will be translated into other languages and also can igetcha clarify which free software that nonprofits can use in other languages such as spanish or french. i think it would be helpful for all nonprofits around the world. cheers

Hello couchpatutie,
Nice username :)
In regards to our website, our future goal is to localize and translate the site in multiple languages. We are hoping, initially, that nonprofits will utilize the site and transfer the knowledge on to others that are not as fluent in English. Similar to the Creative Commons thread, this discussion is another topic for our board because the prioritization of languages needs to be determined. This suggestion is definitely a must because iGetcha wants to reach nonprofits and ngos globally, and we know that there are many small nonprofits out there that would benefit from a translated site!
As for the availability of free software in various languages, we would like to list all the languages these solutions provide. It's definitely a good suggestion and we're thinking about categorizing the free and open source software by languages as well. An interesting question is, how to categorize the thoroughness of translation for an operating system such as Ubuntu and Sugar on a Stick? In some cases, a language may only be translated 12% and more for another. Due to these varying factors, the localization of the iGetcha.org website will require a significant workload because we will need to clarify these factors to nonprofits in addition to having the site in Spanish for example.
Wow, the iGetcha Team definitely appreciates all the feedback and since we're a small team, we can only try our best to fulfil your suggestions. Hopefully, our resources will continue to grow and we can provide the support that we are striving to achieve.
Thanks!
The iGetcha Team :)
