good day, is there any social media aggregator to help out ngos?? the biggest complaint is that we as an ngo do not have the extra resources to work with 5 and growing social media tools. if we were a corporation, we could hire 5 social media gurus, but as a nonprofit, we have one guy working on that outreach along with switching hats to do more as we all know in the third sector. cheers

Chicken and the iGetcha team ;) have found aggregators for microblogging. These application clients are installed on your computer and will help you manage multiple sites. We will elaborate more on permanent directory listings.

Check out Tweetdeck if you are looking for aggregation of Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and MySpace statuses. It works on Linux too! If you prefer opensource site integration such as identi.ca, check out Gwibber.

Thanks,

The iGetcha Team :)

Not sure why this is but FriendFeed aggregates lots of social media sites and it's not as popular as let's say Twitter... It might be because of all the customer confusion out there with so many social networks and media aggregators. And Twitter and Facebook obviously have better marketing.

I definitely see the value of Gwibber (opensource) and Tweetdeck (mobile platform), but if your a nonprofit or ngo that deals with several mainstream social media sites and can't afford an smartphone, FriendFeed may work for you.
